It will begin in the heat of the summer, right in the middle of our last summer vacation. You will fill out forms, size up the players and develop relationships with teammates, coaches and other families. The season ranges from trying to stay cool to trying to keep warm. The football season is a monster like no other. From bringing refreshments for players and family, to working the concession stands, to just helping where needed, no greater sense of community exist like recreation football. All social and political views are cast aside and parents become kids again. Communities come together as one, to cheer for our colors, our team, our kids. It will end with tearful goodbyes, disappointments for some and celebration for others. Enjoy Saturdays for the next few months because before you know it, your Saturdays will belong to Football.
